Cristiano Ronaldo opens up on life with his five children, who all 'have my personality', don't speak to him for hours if he loses

Cristiano Ronaldo has opened up about the close bond he shares with his five children, admitting that they don't speak to him for hours if he loses a football match.

The Manchester United forward, who recently added to his family with the birth of daughter Bella Esmeralda, has three other children - Cristiano Jr, 11, twins Eva and Mateo, four, and three-year-old Alana - with his partner Georgina Rodriguez.

'They have a lot of my personality'

"My kids are amazing. They have a lot of my personality, they're loving and caring," the proud dad told Piers Morgan during an interview for TalkTV.

"When I lose, they are a little bit sad and they don't talk to me for like an hour or so. They know when I'm not happy, they know when I'm sad, they know when I'm not okay."

Ronaldo added that he tries to be a good role model for his children and teach them the importance of hard work and dedication.

"I always try to be the best father I can be. I try to teach them the values of life, the importance of respect and love," he said.

'I want to be a better man for them'

The Portuguese star admitted that being a father has changed his life for the better, making him want to be a better man.

"To be honest, being a father has taught me a lot about myself," he said.

"It's made me more patient, more loving, and more caring. I want to be a better man for them, and I want to be there for them every step of the way."
