Brighton defender Tariq Lamptey ruled out with a knee injury

Full-back to miss trip to Arsenal with no indication of return date

Brighton defender Tariq Lamptey has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury. The 22-year-old played the whole of the defeat by Arsenal on Saturday but was forced off after 16 minutes of Tuesday's Carabao Cup tie against Southampton.

There is no indication of when Lamptey will return to action, but head coach Roberto De Zerbi confirmed that he will not be available for the rest of the season.

Lamptey has been a key player for Brighton this season, making 16 appearances in all competitions. His absence will be a blow to the Seagulls, who are currently 10th in the Premier League.
