According to provincial police from Oxford County, the collision involved two tractor-trailers and occurred on Highway 401 near Ingersoll, Ontario, on Wednesday night. Emergency services responded to the scene, but one person was pronounced dead. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
The westbound lanes of Highway 401 were closed for several hours as police investigated the collision and cleared the scene. The highway has since reopened, but traffic delays may persist.
